Originally trained as an illustrator, Monsoon uses this skill to explore techniques in illustration and printmaking to communicate aspects of the projects created. Monsoon is currently working with IIHUK charity to develop ways in which physical pain is represented and understood by healthcare professionals and society. Using the visual arts to communicate pain from invisible illnesses.

Microbial Me Illustrations & Etching

Beginning as an experiment in 2012 on Broad Vision and continued in collaboration with Professor Mark Clements, Dr. Richard Harvey & supported by Thermofisher Scientific. On permanent display at the Eden Project, Cornwall, UK.

CYANOTYPE

Monsoon created various prints throughout the covid-19 pandemic to raise money for IIHUK charity and adopted this print making process to show the beauty of nature as well as technology that uses lightwaves.
